Russian and Azerbaijani presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev greeted each other, but there was no substantive communication between them in the Chinese capital Beijing, according to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.

“They greeted each other with Aliyev, shook hands, but, in fact, there was no substantive communication [which includes a substantive conversation aimed at practical results] this time,” Peskov told reporters in response to a question from Interfax.
