The government of Armenia, at its Cabinet meeting Thursday, decided to allocate 60 million drams annually to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to ensure the proper organizing of protocol events during the visits of Armenian delegations led by the prime minister to foreign countries.

The explanation states that by the government's decision, 40 million drams were allocated to the State Protocol Service of the MFA for the implementation of the above-mentioned expenses, and together with the amount approved for the same purpose in the 2025 budget, the total amounted to 140 million drams, of which 124,556,000 drams have already been financed. But the balance is not enough to fund the upcoming expenses for nine months and until the end of the year. Therefore, there is a need to provide additional funds, the priority and urgency of which the MFA has addressed to the PM's office with a respective letter.

Accordingly, it is proposed to reduce the funds saved from the events of the Armenia-Diaspora Partnership Program and the Engagement of Diaspora Potential in Armenia's Development Processes programs being implemented by the premier's office and direct them to the State Protocol Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
