Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu, businessman Gadzhi Gadzhiev, and some high-ranking officials of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan were detained today, according to the ORDA newspaper.
Nurtleu was detained at his home a day after returning from China, where he had attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.
Investigators conducted searches at the homes of Nurtleu and Gadzhiev.
