The Gaza Health Ministry says the number of Palestinians killed in nearly two years of war has hit 64,000, according to the Associated Press.
According to the latest data, about 400 people were listed as missing, and now, according to the ministry, they have been confirmed dead. The ministry is part of the government headed by the Palestinian group Hamas and employs medical workers.
UN agencies and many independent experts consider its data to be a reliable assessment of wartime losses. Israel disputes these figures but does not provide its own.
