Twenty-six countries have agreed to contribute to Ukraine's security following any ceasefire or peace agreement with Russia, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday, according to AFP.

“Today we have 26 countries that have officially committed — some others have not yet taken a position — to deploy troops in Ukraine as ‘security forces’ or to be present on land, at sea or in the air,” Macron told reporters after meeting with Kyiv’s allies.

He added that “this force does not seek to wage any war with Russia.”

Earlier, a summit of the coalition of willing countries was held with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Later, the summit participants spoke with US President Donald Trump.
