Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan on Tuesday received Alexandra Pamela Cole, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Armenia, on the occasion of handing a copy of her credentials.

The sides touched upon the results of the second round of the Armenia-UK Strategic Dialogue held in Yerevan on August 26, and outlined the future courses of actions, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The interlocutors commended the steady development and deepening of bilateral relations between Armenia and the UK, and reiterated the mutual commitment to elevate bilateral cooperation to a new level of Strategic Partnership.

Also, the deputy FM briefed on the agreements reached in Washington within the framework of the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and outlined Armenia's vision for further steps towards the institutionalization of peace.

The Armenian deputy FM and the UK ambassador exchanged views also on current regional and international matters.
