Nepal's interim prime minister, Sushila Karki, who was chosen by protesters on the social network Discord after the government was overthrown, has promised to resign in six months, as soon as an elected government is formed in the country.

“I did not want this position. It was the voice of the street that convinced me to accept it,” Sushila Karki said, according to the BBC.

Karki, 73, a former head of Nepal's Supreme Court, became prime minister at the request of protest leaders from the so-called “Generation Z,” meaning people aged 30 and younger.
