In 2025, 37 lawsuits were filed against 17 media outlets. In addition to refuting information deemed offensive or defamatory, monetary claims were also brought against the media. In these lawsuits, 17 media outlets are being sued for damages amounting to 66 million 700 thousand drams, excluding legal costs.

According to Hetq, based on the results of a study by the Datalex information portal, this year, National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan filed a total of four lawsuits against media outlets and journalists. He is demanding that Mediahub, Zhogovurd, and journalist Vahe Makaryan publish a retraction and pay a total of 3.4 million drams.

Chief of Staff of the Government Arayik Harutyunyan and Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan are demanding 3 million drams each from Oragir Media and Zhogovurd, respectively.

During the specified period, most of the lawsuits were filed against Zhogovurd – 9 lawsuits. The publication is being asked to pay monetary compensation in the amount of 21 million drams.
