Exports from Armenia decreased by almost 53 percent in the first half of 2025, minister of finance Vahe Hovhannisyan announced during the debates on the state budget execution report for the first half of 2025 at Monday’s meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.

The minister added, however, that exports of goods of Armenian origin increased by 10.3 percent.

“Exports from Armenia decreased by 52.8 percent. This is due to a sharp decline in the re-export of gold, silver, and platinum,” explained Hovhannisyan.

Also, imports of goods decreased by 38.6 percent from January to June. According to the minister, this is also due to a sharp decline in re-exports.

“After removing the impact of re-exports, the growth in imports was approximately 7 percent,” added the Armenian minister of finance.
