US House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs Vice Ranking Member Gabe Amo's amendment to H.R.3000 during the House Foreign Affairs Committee Markup on Fiscal Year 2026 State Department Reauthorization Act passed via unanimous consent, reports the Armenian Assembly of America.

The amendment has US Secretary of State Marco Rubio engage with the governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan to encourage the release of the Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan, the protection of Armenian religious and historical sites, the safe return of the Armenian refugees of Nagorno-Karabakh, and a peaceful end to the military conflict.
