Let us first record that the TRIPP route is being discussed in a bilateral format between Armenia and the United States, any third party, on which Armenia and the United States will reach an agreement, can be involved, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a briefing with Armenian reporters in Strasbourg, France, Monday. He noted this regarding the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) road project.
“Of course, the European Union is a reliable partner for us [i.e. Armenia], and we are interested in involving more and more reliable partners for us. But again, purely in terms of correctness, it has been specified that Armenia and the United States are discussing the topic, and third parties can be involved if both sides agree,” added the Armenian PM.
On August 8 in Washington DC, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a declaration regarding the TRIPP road project through Armenia. Accordingly, Armenia will work with the US and mutually agreed third parties to define the framework for the implementation of TRIPP.
