The UN Security Council will hold a closed session on Syria on January 28. The draft resolution prepared by the League of Arab States will be discussed. The draft resolution calls for Bashar al-Asad’s voluntary surrender.

According to some information the initiator of the session is the delegation of Morocco.

Experts said that there was nothing surprising that the Arab countries willingly agree with their western colleagues on the issues concerning Syria. The key issue is related to Iran, NEWS.ru.com reports.

However, a new draft resolution does not envisage possibility of foreign military force intervention in Syria. Nevertheless, another diplomatic conflict with Moscow is expected.
