“The Civil Contract faction will appeal to the people, calling on them to participate in the 2026 parliamentary elections and extend our mandate to govern Armenia for another five years,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a press briefing Thursday.
“As for our chances [of winning these elections], the assessment will be made by the people. We are not the authors of the policy being implemented since 2021, but the people [are], who are much wiser than any politician or any political force,” Pashinyan noted.
“What were people saying in 2021? They were saying every day that there would be a war. And what was I saying? I was saying there would be no war between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” he added.
“You can be 100 percent sure that as a result of the 2026 parliamentary elections, the people [of Armenia] will win,” the premier stated.
