U.S. President Donald Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese signed an agreement on rare metals, Reuters reports.
“We are discussing critical minerals and rare elements, and we are set to sign an agreement that we have been negotiating for four or five months, and we have successfully signed it during this visit,” Trump said ahead of signing the document.
He added that the process of implementing the AUKUS agreement is progressing quickly.
“We have the world’s best submarines, everywhere, and we are building more, which are currently under construction. We have worked long and hard on this. In my view, it is proceeding very quickly, very well,” Trump stated.
