Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that the TRIPP project will definitely be carried out, according to Azerbaijani media, during a press briefing with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“As you know, one of the outcomes of the Washington summit in August was the TRIPP project (The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity). President Trump gave his name to the project, which naturally indicates that it will be implemented. This opens another route for the Middle Corridor. In addition to the traditional route, there is now an alternative via Zangezur, with a cargo capacity of 15 million tons that meets modern standards. Thus, the volume of goods transported from Asia to Europe and vice versa through our countries has the potential to increase significantly, while also providing greater capacity for receipt and dispatch,” Aliyev said.

It should be noted that in Armenia, the TRIPP project is being implemented as part of the regional transportation corridor unblocking in the Syunik province.
