A heated exchange took place on the social media platform X between the foreign ministers of Hungary and Poland.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó shared a statement by his Polish counterpart, Radosław Sikorski, in which Sikorski said that Warsaw could not guarantee that “an independent court would not order the Polish government to detain a plane carrying Vladimir Putin if it entered Polish airspace to deliver the suspect to the International Criminal Court.”

“Is Radosław Sikorski talking about the same independent court that, under orders from Donald Tusk (Prime Minister of Poland – ed.), refused to extradite the terrorist who blew up the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline?” Szijjártó asked.

His Polish colleague noticed the post.

In response, Sikorski commented that he was proud the Polish court had ruled that “sabotage against an invader is not a crime.”

“Moreover, I hope your brave compatriot, Major Magyar, will finally manage to disable the oil pipeline that fuels Putin’s war machine — and that you will start receiving oil through Croatia,” Sikorski added.
