Of those detained in connection with the mass unrest in Gyumri, 13 individuals have been remanded in custody as a preventive measure, the Investigative Committee reported to NEWS.am.

A minor among the detainees has been placed under house arrest with a travel ban.

The investigator had submitted a motion to the court regarding 19 detainees. Out of them:

13 were remanded in custody,

2 placed under house arrest with a travel ban,

1 under administrative supervision,

3 are still awaiting a court decision.

Earlier reports noted that among those detained were Ruben Mkhitaryan, a lawyer and member of the “Our Way” movement, and Gevorg Ghukasyan, a member of Gyumri City Council’s HKK faction and grandson of Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan’s brother.
