Russian forces attacked Ukraine’s capital with drones overnight on October 23. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that seven people were injured, five of whom were hospitalized. In the Podil district, drone strikes caused fires in three residential buildings, set cars ablaze in several courtyards, and shattered windows in multiple homes, a school, and a kindergarten; a business center was also damaged.

Debris fell near a synagogue. Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Moshe Asman, shared videos of the aftermath on Facebook. In the Obolon district, windows of a residential building were damaged. In the Desnianskyi district, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that a drone struck the 21st floor of a 24-story building but did not explode.

On the night of October 22, Russian forces carried out a massive strike across ten regions of Ukraine. In Kyiv, two people were killed, and according to city administration head Timur Tkachenko, 29 others were injured, including five children.
