Fifteen participants in the mass unrest in Gyumri have been placed in custody as a preventive measure, the Investigative Committee told NEWS.am.

Three other individuals have been placed under house arrest with a travel ban, and one person is under administrative supervision with a travel ban.

Earlier, NEWS.am reported that among those detained are Ruben Mkhitaryan, a lawyer and member of the “Mer Dzyevov” movement, and Gevorg Ghukasyan, the grandson of Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan’s brother and a member of Gyumri City Council’s HKK faction.

According to sources, the minor placed under house arrest is the grandson of Ghukasyan’s brother.
