U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping during his upcoming trip to Asia, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said today, October 23, during a press briefing.

“Tomorrow at 11:00 a.m., the President will depart from the White House to fly to Malaysia, where he will arrive Sunday morning local time. It is a long flight. In the afternoon, President Trump will hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and in the evening, he will attend a working dinner with leaders from Asia-Pacific countries. Monday morning local time, the President will fly to Tokyo. On Tuesday morning local time, President Trump will participate in a bilateral meeting with Japan’s new Prime Minister,” Leavitt said.

According to her, Wednesday morning local time, Trump will travel to Busan, where he will hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the Republic of Korea, deliver remarks during a luncheon, and then attend a working dinner of the U.S. Council for Asian and Pacific Economic Leaders (APEC).

“Thursday morning local time, President Trump will hold a bilateral meeting with President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, after which he will return home to Washington, D.C.,” the White House spokesperson added.
