A high-level meeting of Eastern European countries will take place in Finland on December 16, where defense cooperation among the states will be discussed.

The meeting will include the Baltic states, Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria, according to the portal Yle on Friday, citing a statement by Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo after the EU summit in Brussels.

“The goal is to initiate concrete cooperation to strengthen the defense of Eastern border countries, as well as to discuss how the financing of these Eastern border countries will be ensured in the next European Multiannual Financial Framework,” the statement said.
