Russia is reviewing its strategy in the region after the recent elections and will continue to interfere in the political processes of various countries, including Moldova, said the latter’s president, Maia Sandu, according to Point.md.

As per Sandu, Moscow is redirecting its attention to other countries where elections are expected, seeking to maintain control and influence in the post-Soviet space and even in developed democracies, rupor.md writes. “The Russian Federation is still adjusting its strategy.

They did not expect such results and are now attempting to reassess their own plans. They will focus on other countries where elections will be held. For example, next year elections will be held in Armenia, and they [i.e. Russia] will attempt to establish control over the government in Armenia,” the Moldovan president said in an interview with Rock FM radio.
