Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom have signed a bilateral defense cooperation program for 2026–2027.

Photos and details of the signing ceremony were posted on the X account of the UK embassy in Baku.

“The UK is proud of our close cooperation with Azerbaijan in defence and its role in the Strategic Partnership. Yesterday, the UK Ministry of Defence & the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defence signed the 2026/27 Defence Bilateral Cooperation Plan. We look forward to working closely together to deliver on shared priorities,” the post stated.

It should be noted that after the complete lifting of the UK’s arms supply embargo on Azerbaijan, broad opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector have opened up.
