Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Yevdokimov has commented on the matter of restoring the railway connection through Armenia.

“The length of the road is 44 kilometers. Specialists from Russia’s railway sector walked along the road. It is possible to restore the road in approximately two years because the tunnels have not collapsed; a railway complex is required,” the ambassador told APA, in response to a question about the restoration of the aforesaid railway link.

According to him, who restores this railway and how it is done is not the main issue.

“This road, in addition to strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, will also create conditions for the development of economic ties in the region. The main issue is to restore the road as soon as possible,” the ambassador said.
