For Azerbaijan, the “Zangezur corridor,” I believe, is a much broader concept. It does not concern the “Trump Route.” Zaur Shiriyev, a nonresident Azerbaijani scholar at the Carnegie Russia Eurasia Center in Berlin, told this to reporters Tuesday on the margins of the international Orbeli Forum being held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
“It should be viewed this way — unlike Armenia, we do not perceive it negatively. At least not in the case when we use the term ‘corridor.’ In Armenia, the attitude toward it is different. In Azerbaijan, people perceive the ‘corridor’ one way, and in Armenia — another way,” added the Azerbaijani analyst.
