YEREVAN. – The US dollar is continuing to weaken in Armenia’s financial market.

One dollar’s average exchange rate against the Armenian Dram (AMD) comprised AMD 386.93, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Tuesday. And in comparison with Monday, the dollar devalued by 0.09 percent. Tuesday’s trading started at $1/AMD 387, but later the dollar’s offer surpassed its demand.   

In general, $5.84 million was sold at the stock exchange on Tuesday.

And at Armenia’s cash foreign currency market, there still are exchange offices that purchase one dollar at AMD 386, but, instead, there are a growing number of exchange offices that are “bold enough” to sell the dollar at less than AMD 388.
