The delimitation of certain sections of the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border, including enclaves and exclaves, will be carried out in accordance with the state border delimitation and border regulations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by the office of Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan — and in response to Armenian News-NEWS.am’s  inquiry.

“The same regulations also define the procedure for the enforcement of decisions and/or agreements made by the [respective Armenian and Azerbaijani] Commissions. No decisions have been made and will be made by the Commissions through any other procedure.

The work of the Commissions is properly covered in accordance with the state border delimitation and border regulations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the response added.

Armenian News-NEWS.am had addressed the following questions to Mher Grigoryan’s office: “Have the border delimitation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan had a discussion on the enclaves, exclaves? Is there a decision on how this issue will be resolved? What is Armenia’s position — how should the issue be resolved? Is the option of territory exchange being considered?

In general, what phase are the commissions’ work at? Are there timelines for when the border delimitation process — which has in fact stopped—in certain sections will resume? Which will be the next delimited section?”
