The soldiers of special services in Thailand opened fire at peaceful residents by mistake during the special operation, said Deputy Prime Minister on Security Affairs Yuthasak Sasiprapha.

He informed the journalists, that no one out of the four killed people had any connection with the criminal groups. Four people were killed and four were injured as a result of special operation in the Pattani province late on January 30.

During the last eight years five thousand people were killed as a result of terrorism, RIA Novosti reports
