The saddest song of all times in the world is named “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M., shows social survey ordered by the British Theater director David King. Even men voting for the song could not help but cry.
Elton John’s “Candle In The Wind” devoted to the memory of Princess Diana occupies the second position, while Mike and the Mechanics with their song “The Living Years” are the third.
The survey claims seven out of ten male respondents cried, while one out of ten female respondents could keep her emotions.
“Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion, “Nothing Compares To You” by Prince and Sinead O’Connor, and “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Huston are among the saddest ones.
“Fix You” by Coldplay, “Yesterday” by The Beatles, “Seasons In The Sun” by Terry Jacks, “Without You” by Harry Nilsson, “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen, “My Way” by Frank Sinatra, “Sound Of Silence” by the duet Simon and Garfunkel, as well as “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers end the list of the saddest songs for the British, NEWSru.com reports.
