YEREVAN. – A positional battle is underway in Armenia’s pre-election season, and the political parties are strengthening their positions, former FM and opposition’s Free Democrats Party member Alexander Arzumanyan said during a press conference on Thursday, adding that the secondary issues are being discussed more these days.   

“This refers to the media. [But] That is normal, too, in this condition. As the people say, they are busy with ‘empty talks,’” he said.  

Speaking about the upcoming parliamentary elections, Arzumanyan noted that we are entering a very interesting phase, and that we have used up the limit for organizing vulgar elections and committing election fraud. “I am not saying that [election] fraud will not be attempted, that the authorities will not do everything to reproduce [themselves]. But the world is developing, and this is more complicated today than in several years ago,” Alexander Arzumanyan maintained.
