Logistics solutions indicate that there is great potential that we must uncover, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan told reporters in Kazakhstan.

“Both Armenia-Kazakhstan trade relations and the transit potential are very large, and they must be utilized,” he said.

Grigoryan emphasized that the creation of alternative logistics routes, including rail and air, will serve as an important incentive for intensifying economic ties. He noted that logistics costs and opportunities in international trade are of significant importance. In this context, finding new logistics solutions with Kazakhstan provides Armenia with a great opportunity. As an example, the Armenian deputy prime minister mentioned wheat imports, which have demonstrated the importance of alternative supply routes.

Reflecting on the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace initiative, Mher Grigoryan reaffirmed its major regional importance.

“It is impossible for the Crossroads of Peace not to have major logistics significance in a large regional sense,” Grigoryan said.

He emphasized that Kazakhstan will also be one of the beneficiaries of the Crossroads of Peace.

To note, a train loaded with Kazakh wheat is in Armenia—after passing through the territories of Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.

And later, wheat acquired from Russia was transported to Armenia—and again by train, and via Azerbaijan and Georgia.
