Bloomberg has publicized the transcripts of phone call that took place on October 29 between Yuri Ushakov, Vladimir Putin’s most senior foreign-policy adviser, and Kirill Dmitriev, an economic adviser to the Russian president, as well as the call that took place on October 14 between Ushakov and US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff.
Two days after the aforesaid conversation between Ushakov Witkoff, the phone call between Trump and Putin took place. And after talking with Putin, the US president had expressed a desire to meet with him in Budapest.
It is reported that during the conversation, Ushakov and Witkoff had discussed also the potential terms of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, which were later included in Trump’s 28-point peace plan.
The transcript of the October 29 phone call between Yuri Ushakov and Kirill Dmitriev shows that the parties discussed preparing the Russian version of the peace plan, which was later proposed to Witkoff.
