Moscow has received the main parameters of the peace plan regarding Ukraine following their discussions in Geneva with representatives from Kyiv, the US, and Europe, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters Friday, Interfax reports.

“The main parameters have been conveyed. Next week there will be a conversation in Moscow,” Peskov said in response to a question on whether Moscow had received the Ukraine peace plan after its discussion in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Russian presidential press secretary was asked whether specific countries or the UN should recognize the decisions of the Ukrainian settlement. “That will be determined during the negotiations. All those nuances must be decided during the negotiations. We [i.e. Russia] do not want to jump ahead and hold a discussion in such a public ‘megaphone’ format, we do not consider that appropriate,” the Kremlin spokesperson said.

In addition, Peskov was asked to explain Russian President Vladimir Putin’s remarks that combat operations will end once the Ukrainian armed forces leave the territory they occupy. He was asked whether this refers only to Donbas, or also to the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. “We will not note all the details now. The president made that call yesterday. All of that will be discussed,” said the Russian presidential press secretary.
