The agreements signed in Washington on August 8 have created unprecedented opportunities. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this during a press briefing Tuesday after the sixth meeting of the European Union (EU)-Armenia Partnership Council, in Brussels.

Mirzoyan said that he discussed with his European colleagues the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.

According to him, additional steps, including opening the border between Armenia and Turkey and implementing major infrastructure projects, could significantly change the political and economic “architecture” of the entire region.

Mirzoyan stated that the first Armenia-EU summit will take place in May 2026. The Armenian FM assessed this as a significant event and invited his European colleagues to Yerevan.
