After several months of court proceedings on the appeals on compensating the descendants of the 1915 Armenian Genocide victims reached a dead end. More than 1,700 of the 13,500 appeals were not found, Asbarez paper writes linking on Glendale News Press.
As lawyer Roman Zilberfeld announced, 1,766 appeals were not found after 41 boxes containing documents were removed from the lawyers’ office to a neutral zone - the Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. As a result 10 boxes containing documents were lost.
The next hearing is scheduled for April 2.
To remind, earlier the US Federal Court gave lawyers fighting for the compensation of the descendants of the 1915 Armenian Genocide victims two weeks for discussing the agreement or undergo an extensive audit by the order of the court.
