The students of a high school in San Jose, California, USA who had formed a swastika with their bodies on the local American-football field, will face administrative punishment, NBC reports.

The students involved in this incident will be held accountable for the damage they caused, said Beth Silbergeld, the principal of this high school.

She emphasized that, by law, the school has no right to publicly discuss the disciplinary measures taken against these students.

San Jose police have also become involved in the investigation of this incident, which law enforcement is considering a hate crime.

It is not reported what measures the authorities may apply to these students.
