The Syrian authorities deny the news about opening fire in the city of Homs.
Information that the army opened fire at a number of Homs districts is spread by militant groups, by the Syrian National Council in Istanbul to escalate tension and use the reports during discussion of Syrian issue in the UN Security Council, says the official statement.
Damascus insists that the Arab channels showed people who had been captured and killed by the militants, RIA Novosti reports.
