Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is in Germany on an official visit, paid a visit to the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Berlin, where he met with a group of German businesspeople and representatives of economic associations, the PM’s office told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Michael Harms, Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, thanked the Armenian premier for the meeting, and noted that German businesspeople are interested in cooperation with Armenia, and that today’s meeting is a good opportunity to learn about existing opportunities and prospects in that regard.

In his remarks, PM Pashinyan emphasized that the Armenian government is interested in the consistent development and expansion of economic ties with Germany, adding that in the recent period a positive dynamic has been recorded in the amount of trade between the two countries.

Also, Pashinyan reflected on the reforms being implemented to improve the business environment in Armenia, the opportunities for investments in various sectors of the country’s economy, as well as the prospects opening up in the context of developments taking place in the region.

During the meeting, the Armenian premier also answered various questions of interest to the German businesspeople in attendance.
