YEREVAN. – Armenian Prosecutor’s Office decided to commute the restraint order of Haykakan Zhamanak daily’s journalist, Hayk Gevorgyan.

The prosecutor decided on Monday to commute Gevorgyan’s restraint order from imprisonment to a signature bond.  

Hayk Gevorgyan was taken into custody on February 3 and transferred to prison. He is accused of hitting a citizen with his car. But Haykakan Zhamanak’s editorial staff stated that this was untrue.
