About 300 people organized a demonstration in Istanbul on Sunday protesting against developments in Syria.

According to Turkish Zaman, the protestors gathered in front of the consulate of Syria made statements against Bashar Assad, after which about 50 people tried to broke into the Consulate.

The police didn’t allow the group to enter the Consulate using tear gas. After the incident, the police enhanced control over the Consulate.
