Armenia’s move to purchase Azerbaijani gasoline has sparked a major reaction in Turkey.
In the Turkish press and on social media, this news has mostly been described as a “humanitarian” step by Azerbaijan directed toward Armenia.
Meanwhile, the well-known Turkish news website T24.com considers this move to be “goodwill” on the part of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR has sent 22 railcars of gasoline to Armenia. It is noted that this transaction is purely of a business nature and that this gasoline was sold to Armenia at international prices, and not as a humanitarian step.
