The first batch of Azerbaijan's oil products was dispatched to Armenia, according to Report.az.

A total of 1,220 tons of AI-95 automotive gasoline, loaded into 22 railcars, was sent to Armenia by a freight train of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) from the Boyuk-Kesik railway station in the Aghstafa district of Azerbaijan on Thursday evening.

The cargo will be transported to Armenia in transit through the territory of Georgia.

It was added that shipments in this direction are continuing following a decision by Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev, made in October, to lift the Azerbaijani transit restrictions on cargo deliveries to Armenia that had been in place ever since the “occupation of Azerbaijani territories.”

Thus, Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR has, for the first time, begun delivering Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia.
