Annual inflation in Turkey is expected to reach around 31%, exceeding the forecasts of the country’s government and Central Bank, reports Dunya newspaper.

Earlier, Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz had stated that the authorities predict an economic growth of 3.9%, with inflation remaining below 20%, in 2026.

Despite noticeable progress in reducing inflation, the initial target indicators of the Medium-Term Program have not been achieved. The latest forecast of the Central Bank of Turkey, which assumed a range of 25–29%, has also been exceeded.

According to the latest data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, annual inflation in Turkey slowed to 31.07% in November—compared with 32.87% in the previous month.
