On Wednesday and Thursday, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited the Armenians being held in Azerbaijan, whose names were confirmed by the Azerbaijani authorities. Zara Amatuni, Communications and Prevention Manager of ICRC Armenia, told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Since the ICRC does not have a presence in Azerbaijan ever since September, this visit was organized from the ICRC headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, Amatuni added.

“During the visit, the [ICRC] delegates had private conversations with them, assessed the conditions of detention, health status of the persons,” Amatuni noted.

She added that this ICRC delegation included a physician.
