The Lexus RZ electric crossover line for Japan has been expanded with two new sports models: the RZ550e F Sport and RZ600e F Sport Performance, according to Drom.ru.

Both cars have a Direct 4 all-wheel drive system with a separate electric engine on each axle.

The RZ550e F Sport was announced at the premiere of the updated crossover in March 2025, while the RZ600e F Sport is a completely new model.

The RZ550e F Sport has a combined engine power of 300 kW (408 hp). The RZ600e F Sport Performance features a revised powertrain that increases each engine's output to 167 kW (227 hp), for a total output of 313 kW (425 hp). The maximum battery capacity is also claimed to have been revised. Both models are equipped with a 76.96 kWh battery that can cover 525-582 km on a single charge.

These two sports versions are equipped also with a power steering system, which means there is no traditional shaft or mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels.

The steering is controlled electrically. The steering is completely vibration-free. The steering ratio is variable. At low speeds, the car requires minimal effort to turn the steering wheel, while at high speeds, the mechanism is extremely precise.

The lock-to-lock steering angle is only 200 degrees. That is why, instead of a traditional steering wheel, the RZ550e/RZ600e is equipped with a steering column, almost like an airplane's. The steering column is supplied by JTEKT.

Both versions have an advanced aerodynamic body, where the RZ600e has a double rear spoiler and a lowered suspension; the ground clearance has been reduced by 20 mm. Downforce at high speeds has increased.

The Lexus RZ600e F Sport Performance was developed with the help of professional racers Yoshihide Muroya and Masahiro Sasaki.

In Japan, the price of the RZ550e F-Sport starts at 9.5 million yen, and the price of the RZ600e F-Sport Performance starts at 12.2 million yen.
