We are regulating our relations based on our national interests. Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei stated this while commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about his intention to sign a strategic partnership agreement with Iran.

"Our relations with Armenia are no exception to this rule. We have very good relations with Armenia, and we are determined to continue them. Our relations with other countries are based on careful discussion and decision-making based on mutual interests," the Iran MFA spokesperson added.
