YEREVAN. – Armenian living in Germany Stella Simonyan turned to the Armenian President and the FM complaining for the mean and mocking attitude towards people at the Armenian Embassy in Germany.

“I, Stella Simonyan, have been living in Germany for over 14 years. I left my homeland in great pain. I brought up my two children alone. I was a teacher in Armenia now I work at retirement home, doing hard but kind job. My son came, served in the Armenian Army and returned back, while my daughter studies Slavonic languages and wants to pass her practice in Armenia. I apologize for the long prelude.

It is for over 10 days that Europe suffers strong colds. Everywhere realize it, except Armenian Embassy in Germany. My daughter wanted to send her documents through post, but it was not possible, she had to do it personally. So she went to Berlin with her boyfriend, where she together with other visitors entered the Embassy early in the morning ahead to the reception hour, as it was extremely cold outside. However, they could not enjoy the warm atmosphere long as a rude official shouted on them and demanded to release the building and enter only through order. Some of the visitors asked to stay inside, because of cold. However, the official was firm in his decision. Visitors found out outside that the official shouting was the Armenian Ambassador to Germany.

The Ambassador is not above any other human in the world. My daughter came and told everything crying, while her boyfriend advised to write all about it in the German Bild newspaper. My daughter caught a cold after returning from Berlin. I tried to call Armenian MFA, but I could not connect any responsible person. Hence, I have to write you Mr. President and Mr. Minister that we are your citizens and our hard and sometimes mean work feeds even a family in the homeland.

I ask you to explain the Ambassador that we are not foreigners and his direct responsibility is to protect our interests, regardless his wish,” the letter reads.
