YEREVAN. - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received on Tuesday the head of Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM Sergei Kiriyenko.
The officials discussed the issues related to dynamically developing Armenian-Russian cooperation in different fields. They touched upon power energy, in particular, the development of cooperation on new unit of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant.
President Sargsyan stressed that the construction of a new unit can become one of major projects of bilateral cooperation.
In his turn Sergei Kiriyenko said he had held efficient meetings in Armenia, visited Metsamor NPP to see the territory where a new unit is to be constructed. He gave appraisal to high level experts working at the NPP adding that a new program of future cooperation is developed.
Serzh Sargsyan awarded Kiriyenko an Honorary Order for his contribution to strengthening and development of the Armenian-Russian economic cooperation.
