The problems of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem remain unresolved. Zareh Sinanyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, told this to a press conference Monday.

Sinanyan informed that his recent trip to Jerusalem was interesting and successful.

“We discussed all the problems with the [Armenian] Patriarch [of Jerusalem]. The status and its maintenance are very important. The problems are not yet resolved, there are court cases; I have offered our assistance. As for the issue of raising taxes, negotiations are underway with the Israeli authorities. Similar taxes have been imposed also on all other [religious] denominations, but this is a huge financial burden,” said the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia.
