US President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters during a visit to a Detroit factory, said that in his opinion, US allies should leave Iranian territory, BBC reports.

Answering a reporter's question whether he was advising US allies to leave Iranian territory, Trump replied that he believes they should leave.

That's not such a bad idea, he added.

Earlier, Trump had made a post on social media stating that Iranians should continue their protests and take over institutions, adding that “help is on its way.”
